Peter O. Dalton - Broker/Owner

Peter O. Dalton, is the broker/owner of Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty, he entered the real estate industry as a salesman in 1973. In his first year as a real estate salesman he closed 106 transactions and subsequently entered management with the company that he represented in sales. In 1977, along with two partners, he started Vanguard Realty Inc. as a one office real estate brokerage in Orange Park, Florida and in 1980 he became and remains the sole stockholder. Vanguard Realty Inc. has grown from an independent one office real estate brokerage into the multiple office Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty.

Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty is the largest Coldwell Banker franchisee in Florida and the largest national brand in the northeast Florida market, as measured by RIS Media. The company is comprised of over two hundred and fifty full time agents and has recently opened its sixth sales office. The company prides itself on the production of its agents with average productivity of approximately $4,000,000 per agent in a market where the average sales price is less than $200,000.

Jamie Huggins - Chief Operating Officer

Jamie Huggins is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty (CBVR) in Orange Park, FL. He and his family moved to the Jacksonville area from Destin, FL in 2012. Under Jamie's leadership, the CBVR office in Fleming Island became one of the top five offices in Northeast Florida and the #1 Coldwell Banker office in Florida. After experiencing various successes as a DMD of the Fleming Island and Mandarin offices, Jamie was promoted to COO.

His real estate career began in Atlanta in 1997 where he helped build one of the area's most successful real estate teams, The Rebecca A. Martin Team. After moving to Florida in 2005, he served as the manager of Coldwell Banker United's Seagrove and Panama City Beach West End offices.

Jamie is a proud member of the United States Army Reserves, and has 29+ years of service. He currently works as the Battalion Commander for the 3-348th REGT at Camp Blanding, FL., and holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He served a tour supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009-2010 with the 3rd Army.

He has a passion for service -- that's service to his family, his business, his community, and those wearing uniform and their families. He's been happily married to his wife, Angela, for 18 years. Jamie and Angela have beautiful twin children named Audrey and Trey.

Don Gulick - Chief Financial Officer

Donald joined Vanguard Realty as the Chief Financial Officer in 2003 and is responsible for all aspects of Vanguard's accounting, financial reporting and budgeting, personnel administration, and contract administration. After graduating from the University of Rochester, he joined an international public accounting firm, became a CPA and was admitted to the partnership as an audit partner. Always looking for new challenges, he left public accounting to become the Vice President and Controller of Carrier Corporation, the world's leading international manufacturer of air conditioning systems. Donald and his wife Kay enjoy sailing out of St Augustine on the "Turn Me Loose", as well as spending time at the beach, family visits and traveling.
 
   

Brenda Taylor - Vice President of Agent Services

Brenda Taylor is the Vice President of Agent Services for Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty. She moved from San Diego, California to the Jacksonville area in 2002. Brenda joined the CBV Team in 2004 when she became the Assistant to the VP of Recruitment. Over the last 12 years she has built a unique marketing platform through CBV Concierge Services offering exclusive marketing programs for their agents. Some of these programs include utilizing cost effective distribution options, social media strategies and enhanced online presence to maximize agent market exposure.

Brenda has a strong background in marketing and customer service and leads a team of marketing professionals that manage over 260 agent's marketing needs throughout the year. Dedicated to improving the career experience for licensed CBV real estate professionals in Jacksonville, she has built her Concierge Service Team to 12 full-time marketing specialists at Connect U including 4 professional property photographers. Her programs have proven themselves by increasing sales for agents and have helped to maximize all aspects of the agent experience at CBV. Connect U Marketing is designed to assist agents in all marketing and promotion of themselves and their business. With over 30 types of custom marketing options to choose from, every agent can find a niche that works for them and their customers. The Concierge Service team is dedicated to "Supporting your success every day".

Brenda has also worked closely with Broker Owner, Pete Dalton to develop an exclusive group of top Realtors titled ERN - Elite Realtor Network that encompasses only the top 10% of the Northeast Florida MLS Agents at CBV. The ERN level of marketing allows these agents to reach even more potential customers through Concierge Services marketing.

Brenda has been married since 1981 to Retired Captain Leland (BT) Taylor, and during this time had the pleasure of living in various locations throughout the US including overseas for 4 years during her husband's 38-year military career. They have one son and have called Orange Park, Florida home since 2002.

Ryan Nix - Director of Market Development

Ryan Nix, a Jacksonville resident since 1993, has been a licensed real estate broker in Northeast Florida for the past 15 years.

His career, primarily focused in sales management, marketing, and real estate development, has allowed Ryan to smoothly transition into Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty's Director of Marketing Development for the Avondale community.

As the DMD with Coldwell Banker Vanguard, Northeast Florida's number one real estate firm, Ryan utilizes his extensive background in the First Coast marketplace by mentoring new and experienced real estate agents. He is committed to Realtor excellence, and by fostering and honing agent's skills, he believes that he can assist both the real estate newcomer and seasoned professional achieve success.

Furthermore, Ryan believes that living a productive and balanced life is the key to personal and professional happiness and growth. He and his wife, Amy, were married nearly 20 years ago at St. Paul's Catholic Church and are blessed with three wonderful boys, Jackson, Wyatt, and Landon.

David Laurie - Director of Market Development

David Laurie joined The United States Air Force right after high school where he became a Korean linguist serving overseas and finishing his term at the National Security Agency. Utilizing his high level clearance, he then accepted a support position as a civilian at the Defense Intelligence Agency where he began writing intelligence articles and was part of the intelligence dissemination team at the Pentagon. He proudly served on the Middle East team during Desert Storm participating with several groups to include the bomb damage assessment team. For his efforts, Laurie was awarded the highest civilian recognition, the Defense Intelligence Directors Award.

David joined Bed Bath & Beyond as a manager where he was promoted three times in one year. During his tenure, he opened two stores where he was responsible for store operations as well as managing department managers and staff. David's team achieved the status of the second highest grossing store in the chain while at his second location.

David went on to obtain two undergraduate degrees while attending Florida State University in Tallahassee. His first degree was a dual major in Small Business and Entrepreneurship and Management and his second degree was in Marketing. He graduated in less than three years graduating Magna Cum Laude.

After graduation, David accepted a position as the Director of Marketing and Research at a business brokerage firm in south Florida. David wrote business plans and marketing plans to assist clients with business feasibility analysis, planning, and financing. David simultaneously focused on sales where he honed his craft in the sale of small businesses.

David was recruited to become the Program Director at a not-for-profit business incubator in Tallahassee supported by FSU and the state of Florida where he worked as a consultant and strategist. He provided insight to more than 75 different clients ranging from start-up concepts to business planning for mature companies. David wrote financial, marketing, and business plans and provided direction on how to grow and build a successful business, obtain patents, and acquire financing as well as provide operational business advice.

While working full time, David earned his MBA at Florida State University with a focus on international business. Upon graduation he accepted a position at Office Depot as the grand opening marketing manager for new stores where he oversaw the opening of over 100 stores. He was quickly promoted to become the Campaign Manager for North America where he was responsible for over $9 million in advertising annually while providing the advertising platform for campaigns to include back to school and holiday among other annual events.

David moved to Jacksonville in 2002 where worked with a local commercial developer for nine years as the Vice President of Operations where he played a key role in purchasing land, designing and building retail centers, leasing, and property management. Upon leaving development, David spent five years as a commercial real estate agent focusing primarily on retail with some work in office and industrial. He specialized in tenant representation, landlord representation, and investment sales. David has worked with numerous national tenants as well as franchise owners as well as local business owners. David received the CoStar Power Broker award for being one of the top 20 most successful commercial real estate agents in the Jacksonville MSA in 2013, 2015 and 2016.

David and his wife, Ginger, own Mantra Hair Salon, which is a L'Oreal salon that has achieved one of the highest recognitions throughout the country for sales volume referred to as a Black Elite salon. David and his wife created a culture to help the stylists succeed to then in turn allow them the opportunity to provide the best in class service possible to its guests. Continuous education and high expectations help provide a culture of success which is apparent in the talented pool of people who chose to work at Mantra Hair Salon. The company has been open for eight years and still growing.

David plans to incorporate his wide ranging experiences to include sales and managerial capabilities to create a successful environment within the beaches office. His desire to make a difference for each agent is a continuation of his efforts from coaching, mentoring, and strategizing with people and businesses over his years of work. The vision to make this office the destination of choice for agents is encompassed by sound business practice and implementing the right processes to allow for success to breed.
 
   

Fleming Island
Mona Gardella - Director of Market Development

In a sense, Mona have been in "real estate" for most of her life. She has resided in a total of eight states ranging from Michigan to Hawaii, and has lived in a total of seven homes in the Jacksonville area alone. Being a wife to a career Naval Officer, she has experienced firsthand the physical, mental and emotional strain associated with packing up her loved ones and all of their belongings. Thus, she realizes the inherent value of a great real estate professional.

She entered the real estate industry as a second career to elementary education during a time that many agents were getting out. She was warned that it wasn't a good time to start. In response to this challenge and due to her tremendous work ethic, she sold 3.5 million dollars in real estate that first year and was named "Rookie of the Year" for the company she worked for. Nearly a decade later, she still loves the business. During her time as an Agent, she was a yearly multi-million-dollar producer and award winner. Success in this industry is contingent on hard work, and she has always prided herself on going the extra mile.

Now, as a Director of Market Development for Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty's Fleming Island location, Mona uses her expertise in and passion for real estate to mentor new Agents in their career and also help seasoned agents stay relative and expand upon their previous success. She is proud to be a part of a brokerage that makes their REALTOR's success its primary objective. Jennifer Tossavainen - Career Development Officer

In 2002 Jennifer Tossavainen and her family decided to trade in the bitter Northeast winters for the Sunshine State's year-long warmth.

Having been drawn to the First Coast, Jennifer spent her first 10 years as an Eagle Harbor resident, and now calls the Orange Park Country Club home. Even though she is not a native, having spent nearly 15 years in Clay County has made her an expert in Jacksonville's lifestyle, neighborhoods, schools, communities and residents.

As Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty's Career Development Officer (CDO), Jennifer will utilize her extensive education in finance and management to educate, empower, coach and advise passionate area real estate professionals. The majority of her career has been spent in and around real estate with a strong focus on training, recruiting and business management. As a CDO with CBV, Jennifer will tap into her background assisting agents with career development, business planning and company program engagement.

Not only has training and career development been a focal point of Jennifer's career, but it's also a subject that she's personally passionate about. She believes by being a strong leader and advocating for business planning, sales training and coaching, agents will be equipped to focus on high return on investment activities thus, growing their business and exceeding their income goals.

Outside of business, Jennifer is the of mother of two boys, aged 21 and 18. She's a proud Naval Academy mom, Broadway theatre buff, and an avid tennis fan that loves spending her free time on the dance floor kicking up her heels to a variety of styles including ballroom, Latin and country.

Laura Ranneklev - Director of Market Development

Laura began her career in Jacksonville Real Estate shortly after moving from New York, where she was employed with Ralph Lauren, specializing in Jewelry Merchandising. Her professional experience in design and a degree in Marketing laid the groundwork needed to excel in the real estate arena. After years of honing her skills as a Top Producing, Multi-Million Dollar REALTOR, Laura evolved into her current position as a Director of Marketing Development.

As a Director of Market Development for the Mandarin area, of Jacksonville, FL. Laura mentors, trains and coach real estate Agents in every aspect of the business for the best brokerage in Florida. Having had a gratifying career in the real estate industry, Laura understands what it takes to develop a business plan that works this is among our top priorities at Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty.

Prior to being appointed to the Mandarin Office, Laura had the pleasure of opening a brand new office for Coldwell Banker Vanguard in St. Johns County (CR210 Area) she was highly successful in recruiting 24 agents in an 8 month timeframe. Laura's enthusiasm and hard work paid off with office growth to 30 million in production for the first year.

Laura and her husband Nils are celebrating 23 years of marriage. They have 2 college aged children, Christie and Lars and one son, Mark still in Middle School. Family is avid sports fans of the NY Mets and NY Giants. As well as Travel Enthusiast working on their family bucket list. Laura is proudly working on her application to D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution).

Grace McCurry - Career Development Officer

Grace McCurry relocated to sunny Jacksonville, FL in 1985 to escape the bitter Minnesota winters. Upon her transition, she immediately fell in love with Florida's rich history, warm weather and sandy coastlines. She resides in St. Johns, and is an expert in the area's real estate market.

Grace's expansive history in retail and the desire for one-on-one interaction encouraged her to rethink her career in banking. She and her husband, Boyd, opened their own business in 1991. After years of success, they sold the company in 2003.

Seeing the correlation between realty and retail, Grace decided to delve deeper into the industry in 2005 and hasn't looked back since. During her first year she reached $1.25 million in sales, and she's worked diligently to achieve continuous growth each year since. In 2014, she earned the Chairman's Award for sales of $5+ million. In 2015, earned the Gold Award for sales of $6+million.

She prides herself on maintaining a positive and progressive work ethic. Grace finds that maintaining sufficient client satisfaction is contingent on having an open and honest line of communication. She strives to provide the highest level of service to each of her clients in Jacksonville by fostering the balance between being a professional resource and a trusted adviser and friend. The opportunity to become the Career Development Officer of the Mandarin Resource Center became available, and Grace made the move into management. Now she serves sales professionals like she served her customers with exceptional service.

Grace feels fulfilled when helping to guide her four godchildren and being present for the special events in their lives, and volunteering with for her church. And to keep everything in balance, she loves to laugh!

Tina Harp - Director of Market Development

Tina Harp is the Director of Market Development at the Town Center office of Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty. The Town Center office services the south side of Jacksonville Florida. Tina has been a Jacksonville resident for 16 years along with her family. She is responsible for attracting new agent talent, retaining valued agents and educating all agents, new and experienced. Her office currently is the home to over 40 agents and growing!

Tina came to Coldwell Banker Vanguard from a competing company where she began her career in real estate. While she was successful there, her business doubled within 6 months of joining Coldwell Banker Vanguard by engaging in Company generated business and taking advantage of marketing support thru Connect U, our marketing department. She was drawn to management because of her passion for mentoring and educating other agents in order to help them grow their real estate businesses. She truly is an example of what Coldwell Banker Vanguard can do for an agent's business!

Prior to real estate, her back ground was education. She dedicated over 10 years to working in early child hood education. She is also a mother and wife and considers that to be her greatest accomplishment in life. She is an active member of Creekside Christian Church where she and her husband serve in leading classes and she also serves in leading worship.

Tina lives in St Johns with her husband of 23 years, David and their two children Haley and Andy. They are very proud of the fact that their daughter will be attending the University of Florida in the fall and their son will be a sophomore at Creekside High.

Clark Labond - Director of Career Development

Clark started his real estate career nearly 20 years ago. He chose Real Estate when he decided to settle in Jacksonville and leave a career in Advertising and Marketing.

While Clark found quick success as a sales person, he felt that his strengths were better suited to management and so transitioned into sales management. Since making the transition to sales management, he has worked in offices in Mandarin, North Jacksonville and Jacksonville's Historic communities of Avondale, Riverside, Ortega and Springfield. As a resident of Avondale since 1995, he has a special affinity towards the unique qualities and diversity of Jacksonville's Historic Districts and delights in living and working in the area.

Clark joined Coldwell Banker Vanguard (CBV) in 2014 as the Director of Career Development. Clark works on developing concentrated training programs for new associates and on-going training for all CBV associates. He enjoys working with the associates and assisting in expanding the market share of CBV and the level of expertise of the CBV associates.

Vicki Terry

As a Florida native, Vicki Terry is passionate about Jacksonville and serving her community, workplace and family. Vicki spent part of her childhood in Palm Beach, but her heart moved her back to Jacksonville during her adolescence.

She is no stranger to hard work. Vicki began working at Wohl Shoe Company while in school at Orange Park High, and after several years of diligent work, she was promoted and began managing her first store by 19. During this time, she also graduated from Orange Park High School and earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising.

Vicki has been a valued employee with Coldwell Banker for nearly 30 years. Kicking off her successful career in real estate, she began working in property management in 1988 and within 6 months had worked her way up to executive assistant. In both 1996 and 2005, Coldwell Banker Walter Williams Realty presented Vicki with the "Outstanding Achievement Award".

In addition to her successes at work, she also stays engaged and active within her community. During the last 20 years, she has served on two executive boards and as president of a local flag football league. More currently, she is the VP of a local soccer league and executive board, which oversees 6000 families in St. Johns County.

Rhea Castro - Director of Property Management

Rhea Castro originally began her Real Estate career in North Carolina in 1994. Over the years, as a military spouse, she and her family were transferred to several assignments in the Southeast. Throughout this period, she became a licensed Realtor in four different states. Rhea came to northeast Florida area with her husband and family in 2004 as the result of a military transfer. Although originally joining another firm she has been a Realtor and Property Manager with Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty since 2005.

Rhea began managing the Property Management Division at Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty in the spring of 2006. When she took over the department there were fewer than 140 properties in Management and today the Division manages over 750 "doors".

Rhea manages the proprietary Client Builder program that enables Coldwell Banker Vanguard agents to use property management to grow their sales business and earn additional income as property management professionals. In 2015 the 40 agents participating in this program earned more than $1,000,000 in property management commissions, an opportunity that is not available with other agencies.

Premier Service is Coldwell Banker's highest priority when dealing with owners and tenants and Rhea strives to remain ahead of the industry and to provide the agents participating in the Client Builder program with the best resources and support available.
